At its online meeting on August 28, 2023, Equity Council amended Bylaws 22 and 28. The amendments are a follow-up to changes made to the joining provisions last year.

Bylaw 22 was corrected to reinstate clauses F) and G), related to apprentice fee expiration time and the process for requesting an extension to that period. The language is not new, but was inadvertently deleted during a previous update of the Bylaws.

Bylaw 28 was amended to add a minimum length to a contract that would make an artist eligible to join Equity. Non-members now need to be under an applicable contract (or contracts) for no less than 12 work days (not including free days) to qualify to join.
