Equity is pleased to announce the appointment of Omar Alex Khan to Equity Council, as a representative of the Ontario region. A veteran performer of stage, film, and TV, and accomplished voice actor, Omar has been an Equity member for 15 years. He began his career in Winnipeg before relocating to Ontario 8 years ago.

"I'm pleased to have the opportunity to advocate for our members and take part in the important and meaningful work that Council continues to undertake in the areas of diversity and inclusion, safe and respectful workplaces, mental health, and member engagement (among many others)."

His appointment comes following Richard Lam’s decision to resign, citing the challenges of balancing a busy work schedule with his duties on Council.
