January 9th marks International Choreographers Day! Join Equity in celebrating the creativity of these artists and their rich language of movement and dance. Choreographers pave the way for many, bringing art to life, and International Choreographers Day is a chance for everyone to give credit and attention to these folks who have been creating dances, techniques and moves for many years.

Celebrate this year by checking out the resources made available by the Dancer Transition Centre, an organization that helps dancers make necessary transitions into, within, and from professional performing careers, here, and Dance Collection Danse, an organization that exists to preserve Canada’s dance heritage and share it internationally through programming, here.
