Hi friends,
I’ve been a member since 1988 and have served on the national Council since 2012. As a BC/Yukon Councillor seeking re-election I am honoured to be nominated by my current co-Councillors Raugi Yu and Alexandra Lainfiesta. It’s also been a joy and an honour to have represented the members of this region for the past 12 years.
I have served on several Committees, including Directors/Choreographers; Governance; Finance; and Council Education; and have served as Secretary Treasurer. I have also hosted a whole bunch of great webinars! But my largest contribution, I feel, has been in my current role as the Council President of Equity. The past seven years have seen huge changes, both in our live arts community and within our Association, and I am excited to continue the work required to build stability and strength for our Association.
I am asking for your vote so I can ensure that Equity provides the things that help us make great art: Fair contracts! Respectful workplaces! A strong and vibrant national live arts community! Okay! Let’s go get it!
