were several ridings with just a few votes separating candidates. The absentee votes for all ridings will be tabulated by May 24, and the final count will subsequently be released. In 2013, there were approximately 51,000 valid absentee ballots cast across BC and in 2017 there are about 176,000 that still need to be counted.

As part of Equity's ongoing advocacy efforts, and building on the ideas and suggestions collected during our recent pre-election survey, we will be working throughout the campaign to keep members up-to-date on arts and culture issues. Equity has created a poster that includes key discussion points based on the BC Election members' survey. This poster can easily be downloaded and printed in either full-colour or black and white. This is a great tool to have on hand: for the debate on May 1; to post at a theatre or post-secondary institution; and to reference as parties come to your front door campaigning for your support.
