Stage Managers are often the unsung heroes of a production, without whom the show couldn't go on. They live in the theatre, often many hours after the performers and audience have gone home, and ensure the safety and reliability of the stage, as well as making sure everyone and everything are where they are supposed to be. Of this 1989 Stratford group, three are still with the company, three have gone on to teach, including McGuire, who received his Master's in Directing from University of Victoria, and who is a freelance director.
