The Globe Theatre, founded in 1996 by Ken and the late Susan Kramer, started as a touring children's theatre and has evolved to include adult and contemporary works on a mainstage, an alternative space, and has an active school touring company. Glace Bay, adapted by Nova Scotia MP Wendy Lill, was nominated in 1996 for a Governor General's Award for best adaptation. The play has been successfully produced throughout Canada and in Regina, was sponsored by the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour. Ken remained as AD of the company until 1990.
